Maritime autonomy

Sentryn
Maritime.

Bring explicit mission boundaries to maritime autonomy.

Sentryn Maritime is the product family for governance around autonomous maritime operations. The proposed starting point is a bounded inspection mission, developed with a domain and integration partner.

Conceptual operating environment · not a live system

Current scope & engagement

Partnership scope: define a bounded inspection mission, identify a suitable system interface and agree its validation criteria.

Is this mission still within its authorised operating conditions?

An inspection mission encounters a changed operating constraint.

ILLUSTRATIVE SCENARIO
Context

Mission identity, the operating area, state freshness and the applicable mission constraints.

Evaluation

Evaluate the mission condition and define the response with the operating partner.

Evidence

Preserve the mission context, assessment and reported response.

Boundary: Surface and underwater operations require separate integration and validation. No navigational control or certified fallback is claimed.

Integration input

Mission state + operating area + permission constraints

Validated interfaces and operating assumptions define the scope.

Intended outcome

Scoped mission assessment + traceable record

Readiness must be established for the specific system and use case.

Next engagement: Select one mission, a suitable system partner and measurable integration criteria.

Define a useful maritime evaluation.

For maritime operators, inspection-system builders and integration partners evaluating autonomous mission constraints. Begin with one bounded inspection mission and a suitable partner system.

The operating question

Does an inspection mission remain within its agreed operating conditions when an area restriction, mission permission or state-quality assumption changes? Define which condition matters and who may revise it.

Inputs to establish

Mission identity, operating area, mission state, timestamps and applicable constraints. Agree the partner interface and explicitly describe connectivity, localisation and observation limits.

Responsibility boundary

The proposed governance assessment does not navigate the vehicle. Mission control, collision avoidance and any fallback remain with the responsible operator and partner system unless a specific integration is separately defined and validated.

Proposed acceptance evidence

A bounded scenario set covering changed mission constraints and stale or unavailable state. Record the assessment and partner-reported response separately, including the limits of what could be observed.

Current engagement: partner-led scoping of a bounded mission. Surface and underwater systems require separate interfaces and validation; no deployed maritime capability or certified fallback is claimed.
